We're having our Burgh Bears Bar Night at 1226 Herron Avenue in Pittsburgh's Upper Hill section. Regular members will not be charged a cover at the door and have full use of all three floors (Leather Central down stairs, Dance Central upstairs and the main floor). OUTrageous BINGO

This month, one of our social events is helping to benefit the GLCC and Shepherd Wellness by having a gay old time playing BINGO! Join us at Rodef Shalom in Oakland (4905 Fifth Ave). The entrance is from the parking lot between Devonshire Street and Morewood Avenue. Doors open at 6:30pm, Games begin at 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 @ Door, $12 in advance at Klavon's Ice Cream Parlor.

Bears In The Park Picnic

Believe it or not, we've been having our picnic for a decade and a half now! This year marks the 15th Anniversary we'll be hosting the potluck picnic in the park. The club provides hot dogs, burgers, buns, condiments, ice and sodapop/water, with folks bringing an optional dish/plate for everyone to enjoy. If you're com...ing in from out of town and are worried about bringing a food item - don't be as we typically have tons of things to share! Each year we also secure an alcohol permit so our guests can bring their choice of beverages to enjoy and share as well having some beer. Members are free and guests will have a $10 cover charge to help pay for the food, beverages and pavilion rental. Two years ago we introduced the first ever Doughbear Bakeoff contest where entrants brought a homemade/baked dessert item and the attendees voted for their category and overall favorites. So we're bringing back the bakeoff to let you show off your BettyCrocker/MarthaStewart skills for our 3rd installment. For Details on the bakeoff are available by contacting Bill H. at villains27@aol.com. And the picnic is being held at the very much enjoyed Veteran's Memorial Pavilion. This is the largest area in the Park and provides many additional items including: a HUGE capacity, an indoor kitchen, indoor restroom facilities as well as recreational facilities for use too. 1pm - Food served, 2pm - Bakeoff, 3pm - Group Picture and @ 4pm we're awarding Best Bakeoff dishes! So come on out and enjoy a great fun afternoon with us!

WOOF registration officially closed as of August 29th at 12am. We have a ton of fun events this next coming weekend and look forward to seeing everyone out. Pittsburgh PRIDE Rocked!

Many thanks to everyone for their help, participation and commitment to making this year's PRIDE a great time. The float was whimsical and fun while allowing us to increase our presence in the local GLBTQA community and our information booth helped get the word out about us and our commitment to being a social outlet for men who embrace their natural masculinity.

2010 PGH Zoo Goal Exceeded!

Many thanks to everyone that helped us in not only meeting but EXCEEDING our goal this year in raising money to donate to the Pittsburgh Zoo! We hoped to donate $2,000 this year and actually made a donation of $2,100 instead. This money will be used at the four bear exhibits to help with general care of the animals. Currently the club has raised $10,100 over 11 years to date. We look forward to another successful fund drive next year.

Cattivo Sotto Zoo Fund Raiser Night

Join us as we visit the Lawrenceville area of the Pittsburgh Region for another fund raising bar night, this time at Cattivo Sotto. This year is the club's 11th annual donation drive to the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. Each year we raise money that is donated to the Adopt-An-Animal program which helps with funding the care and upkeep of the four bear exhibits at the zoo. Our fund raiser at Cattivo Sotto includes auction items, 50/50 cash prize and more. So bring your friends and join for a night of fun while supporting a great cause! We want to invite everyone to join us for out bar night at Herron Ave as we are hosting the annual Burgh Bears Zoo Fund Raiser for the Pittsburgh Zoo. This is part of the club’s efforts to raise as much money as we can in our 11th year of donating to the Adopt-An-Animal program. Thru this focus, we have supported the bear exhibits at the Pittsburgh Zoo. Our goal for this year is to raise $2,000 and your joining us tonight can help!
